Bat Conservation and Management
GES’s wildlife expert can provide you with a range of bat management services. From protected species surveys to bat exclusions to bat habitat restoration, GES has the qualifications to meet all your bat management needs. We are proud to offer you the following professional services:
- Habitat Assessments – Understanding the complex habitat requirements of Midwestern bat species is critical to estimating their presence or absence. GES has the expertise to provide bat habitat assessments for all your project needs.
- Presence/Probable Absence Surveys – Disturbing protected bat habitats such as those of the federally endangered Indiana bat may require a presence/probably absence survey such as mist netting. Only a few Midwestern biologists have the credentials to complete such complex studies. GES has the ability to plan and conduct surveys and utilizes a well-establish contact network when needed.
- Bat Exclusions – Not all bats are welcome for all people. If you find you are sharing your home with unwanted bat visitors, GES provides expert bat exclusion services. An exclusion includes a complete property inspection, installation of one-way door devices where needed, and complete sealing of all potential bat entry points. GES utilizes methods that are simple, humane, and completely safe for people, pets, and the bats. GES provides a written guarantee for solving your bat problems. Few homes are completely bat-proof, even the Iowa Governor’s Mansion, Terrace Hill was successfully bat-proofed by GES.
